Welcome to Room9's first blog for 2011. While I am very grateful that our blog is now up and running, it is with a heavy heart that I write this blog. Having just observed 2 minutes silence for the earthquake that struck so devastatingly, I once again shed many more tears. Not only for my family who all came home to me but for those family members of our community and beyond who did not come home. God Bless them and may God hold them in the palm of his hands...
Room 9 students, I would very much like to hear from you about your experience of the earthquake. It could be about the day of the earthquake or what has happened over the last week. Remember a recount has a Title, Orientation (introduction), Sequence of Events and then a Personal Comment. Email your earthquake recount to me at vicki.welsh@ola.co.nz. I will publish your writing from there on the blog.
